I agree it’s so stupid, there shouldn’t be any reason for anyone to do it unless they have some skin disease or burns, but other than that it’s useless and pointless, you lose your uniqueness. People who do plastic surgery are insecure and stupid.

Affording it isn’t a problem, I can afford it easily my parents make 6 figure incomes, but obviously I’m not stupid enough to do it.
I’m for it. Personally, I wouldn’t get it, though. If people want it and it makes them feel better about themselves, that’s just great.

some people get plastic surgery b/c they feel really insecure about something. like if they have a huge bump in their nose, they can get it fixed. and it makes them happy.

Well if it improves how you feel about yourself-I’m all for it!!! I have not had any work done. I wanted implants and have decided im fine the way i am.
There is no honesty in making your nose a different shape that what
God gave you. If you had a poor childhood and never got enough of the right foods and want breast implants, that’s another story, since that’s only making you appear as though you may have already, had you been 1. a woman , and 2. eaten better.
If I went out with a woman who had changed something major about her face or the length of her legs for example, and I didn’t catch it but then found out after a few months, I’d be very angry with her and drop her fast most likely.
Unless you’re so butt ugly, that people run from the sight of you, or if its re constructive surgery….Plastic surgery is unnecessary. It irritates me when billions of dollars is being spent on plastic surgery by these spoiled rich women who have absolutely nothing wrong with them. Its ridiculous that there are thousands of homeless people in this country, as well as starving children in other countries, and yet these women are spending millions of dollars of their spare money on needless plastic surgery.
Other than plastic surgery, anything that changes your look is equivalent to having plastic surgery. Its up to the individual whether or not changing one’s looks is correct/ethical.
In some cases yes it is stupid and frivolous. Also very vain. In other cases people need it if they were ever involved in an accident, or something. So it’s half and half for me some cases are just ridiculous and some are completely legitimate and understandable.
I totally agree. Mostly its women who are doing this (stereotype, i know) but mostly its because society has such a perfect, set view on things, and how women should be and look. people are hiding their looks and identities more and more and i think it is really sad. The only reason why you should do it if you have like birth defects or were in an accident or something. You should do it if YOU want to do it. Get over what people think, and be yoruself i say, or if you need a good reason why not to do plastic surgery, just take a look at Michael Jackson.
It is very difficult to generalize, in some cases plastic surgery has been found extremely beneficial and useful.
Well, I had it to remove a big piece of abnormal gum protruding between my front teeth. I think it was worth it to be able to smile without being completely embarassed. Maybe that’s stupid to you, but you didn’t have to hide your mouth when you spoke, not smile in photos or when meeting people, or cover your mouth if someone made you laugh. Lucky you. The rest of us will have “stupid” surgery to have the confidence to smile, something you obviously take for granted.

I don’t like it either, unless some poor person gets attacked by a dog and needs it,or someone with another injury, otherwise its just stupid.
i think that and botox is bad when you’re like young.

I agree with you. People do not need to change the way they look. but more than that it is so dangerous. I was looking into it a few years back (I wasn’t in a good place with my looks) and I realized just how bad it can get.
