Is there any point in getting lasik surgery for an amblyopic eye?

The REAL Superman! asked: I have amblyopia in my right eye. My left eye is fine, I had Lasik done 2 years ago, but it is making it a bit difficult to read, would Lasik do ANYTHING? Glasses and contacts are not an option either.

Are there ways that I can improve my eyesight discluding lasik?
