Why is there more plastic surgery today? Are we becoming more Narccistic?

plastic surgery
zena e asked:

We are worshippers of ourselves. People are always fixing their faces and natural beauty seems to be a thing of a past. I believe plastic surgery should be performed on people who need it , RE Accident, Defects.. etc. not because you want to look younger or more beautiful.. I find those pumped up lips ,same noses, Stretched skin and lifted eyes. Horrible.. What do you think of re Plastic Beauty?

Why do we care so much? What happened to “free will” and “be yourself”, the latter being most common answer here? If a girl/guy has the cash, wants plastic, we shouldn’t judge them. Their body, their pursuit of some form of happiness, and it’s not our concern.

I agree with your point, but its their freedom to do so and we can’t control them.

Though i would feel disgusted being with a beautiful girl who has had her face totally fixed if i were a man.

Maybe it became more accesible as we know that some movie stars, TV personalities go through those surgeries. Plus we are more exposed to media compared to 50 years ago. People get more self-concious about their look. As the demand rises, suppliers of those surgeries grow. The cost get cheaper, consequently it’s more accessible than ever…

I personnaly don’t prefer plastic surgery because I don’t like the look of stretched skin and those bumble bee stung lips, but everyone have their personal reason why they go under the knives. If a person wants to enchance or look better so they’ll feel better then who cares that’s their problem. I still prefer natural beauty unless you really need to like a broken nose for example.

people though they luk good..they wanted to do it..cos u know..its cos of the advancment in the technology…they had the solution right next door..so they do it..

in my pt of view..i think they shouldnt..as u said..yes..it should be only meant for people who met with an accident, defects…

however…natural is something different…ive seen several hollywood actreses having such surgeries..and now ..turned to ‘not the faces that u cud luk more than for 5secs’..

one of the reasons that there is more plastic surgery done is simply because of medical advancments. It can be done much safe now, so more people are electing to go under the knife. The media has a huge role in promoting it, but to each thier own.
