Will people judge me if I get plastic surgery?

plastic surgery
rose&ivory asked:

I think that one day when I have enough money I will get some plastic surgery. Beauty is important to me and I hate the way I look and I think i would be happier if I got some cosmetic surgery done.
Do you think people are really judgmental about people who get plastic surgery? Will people think of me differently and think less of me?

If it’s obvious that you had plastic surgery, people will comment on that, but really.. learn to love yourself and not kill yourself just so that strangers could say ‘youre pretty”

im not going to lie, yeah they will. you should just embrace your natural look. or if you really hate it, just dont announce that you got it.

To what extent? Don’t get your entire face remodeled. Imagine explaining that to your future boyfriend/husband. “And that’s what my face use to look like before I had all this cosmetic surgery done” It’s just not appealing. However, if you have a nose that’s really bothering you and want to have it smaller, then I think that’s fine. People you know well, such as family or close friends, might look at you differently. Or, it could be like a new hair cut, just takes a little while to get use to.

It all depends on the person. I honestly don’t think it takes plastic surgery to look prettier, because there are so many other things you can do. I’ve heard horror stories of plastic surgery going wrong and leaving terrible scars that would make you look worse than before. When you have the money, why not try getting your hair and nails done, or tanning?

If you want it and think it will benefit you, then they shouldn’t judged you. It’s your decision and if they don’t accept you for it, then you don’t need them. Your body, you do what you want with it!

Some people will judge, some people won’t.
    It’s okay.

Some people will think less of you, but who cares, it’s all up to how you feel about yourself.

People are, but honestly, those who judge people who’ve had work done are usually not fully happy with the way they look, either. It’s easier to bash someone else than to address your own flaws (personality included. heh)

I plan to have my breasts done in the near future, and perhaps my nose in a few years. I know that there are a lot of people who frown on it, but it’s what *I* want. And that’s what matters.

If getting surgery will make you more comfortable with your appearance, and you fully understand and accept the risks, etc. then by all means, follow what you want. :)

And, hey! Economy crisis might even mean good surgeons will have to cut some of their exorbitant prices. 😉

    Most likely.

Of course people will still judge you even if you don’t get plastic surgery.

    It’s human nature unfortunately.

like what kind of plastic surgery?
i think girls are better off being themselves and just being happy with it.
a guy told me once that hed much rather a girl whos not pretty but can keep up with herself than a girl whos pretty just cause of surgery.
and think of what can go wrong!
    ah not so ideal

So let me get this straight
You are worried about what people think about how you look now…
So your going to get surgery, to fix that…
But your worried about what people will think If you fix it.
So technically You are fixing something you are worried about because of what people think what people think , to just get right back where you stared by worrying about what people think if you fix it…..

People will judge you, but who cares! they will judge you anyway,so if that’s what you desire, then go for it,If you do not you will regret and live life saying should I have done it, and if you do get it then you will live life happier.

YES, of course the will, people will always judge you what ever you do!
everything you do is representing yourself either in a good or bad light… question is, Do you care?
simple answer is, that should depend on what you are being judged on.
If people are judging me right know as they are reading what I write, do I care? not really, they are entitlled to there opinion and good on them.
however if I were to be writing this with the intention of trying to get a job then dam right I care I would want it to be judged in the best possible light.
simple fact is I work in recruitment everytime someone comes in they are judged… how they are dressed, attitude, smell (yes there are some pretty bad ones!) even down to presentation of a CV and spelling,
should you be worried… No not if you have your reasons or unless you are getting something silly done.
    Good luck
